Info: To complement our rapidly growing business we are seeking a bright and highly motivated PrePress Advisor.  This role will support the production team by setting up, adjusting and manipulating customer files according to the customer’s selected options.

Key Responsibilities

File setup – 35%
Prepare items for print, such as posters, pamphlets, saddle stitch booklets, full-bleed, perfect binding, etc.
Support the production team by setting up, adjusting, and manipulating customer files according to customer select options, special instructions, and change orders.
Preparing and burning/copying of digital material to CD/DVD/USB medium.

Production Assistance – 50%
Examine print files for content accuracy per request by the Production and QA teams.
Troubleshoot problem files associated with print jobs.
Troubleshoot problem files that cause system issues and failures.

Quality Assurance – 10%
Act as an internal Prepress QA by reviewing Prepress work for quality and accuracy prior to file delivery to the production team.
Research customer quality issues upon request from the Quality Management team and honestly report on the issues’ causes and possible resolutions.

Consulting – 5%
Make recommendations to the Prepress Manager and Development team for internal process improvements.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Degree or certificate in graphic arts, digital prepress or applicable experience.
1-2 years Prepress experience.
Mastery of the following software applications:  Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe Creative Suite a plus, Microsoft Office Suite, Prisma Prepare, Enfocus Pitstop, and Quite Imposing.
Solid understanding of both Windows and Mac platforms.
Detail-oriented with good organizational skills and the ability to multitask; strong problem-solving abilities.
Team Player – proven ability to work well in a small group sitting in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
Excellent, professional written and oral communication.
Ability to excel in a self-paced environment.
