Reports to: Director of Operations | Position: Full-time | Salary Range: $45,000 – 50,000 | Location: Memphis, TN General

Summary The Alumni Support Coordinator (ASC) is a full-time employee who serves on MICR’s Ground Team and reports directly to the Director of Operations. This team member is primarily responsible for overseeing the successful execution and implementation of all of MICR’s alumni support programs and efforts. The ASC role focuses on engaging MICR alumni (aged 18 – 22) in different educational and professional opportunities.

Roles & Responsibilities College Mentoring

  • Oversee the college mentoring program for local and out-of-state students
  • Facilitate & manage monthly college mentoring workshops
  • Hire, train, and manage college mentors and tutors
  • Provide intensive college mentoring support for 1 – 3 alumni
  • Support alumni with any issues, concerns, or questions they may have about college Alumni Services
  • Help manage & secure internships for students in their given field
  • Manage & collect data for the alumni database
  • Track, engage, and maintain 2 touch-points per year with MICR alumni aged (18 – 22)
  • Oversee the alumni social media accounts and the alumni to ensure content quality and alignment with channel goals
  • Design, facilitate, and execute bi-monthly alumni gatherings and events aimed at driving engagement, expanding alumni networks and developing professional skills

Other Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations for MICR – this includes, but is not limited to: K – 12 programming, data collection, survey creation, and community outreach

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience leading and managing others required
  • Experience working with high school and/or post-secondary students preferred
  • Previous experience working with or playing for MICR is preferred
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
  • Proven ability as a problem solver and self-starter
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and time management skills

The Fine Print

  • Full-time position, 40+ hours per week, must be flexible to work some nights and weekends
  • Position comes with medical/dental/vision insurance and 2 weeks paid vacation
  • Work from home position with the expectation to travel to different school locations throughout Memphis
  • Must have transportation
  • Anticipated start day: Monday, January 3rd 2022
