Kaleidoscope Kitchen: Kaleidoscope Kitchen Operations Coordinator

The Binghampton Development Corporation (BDC) is a faith-based non-profit community development
corporation working to improve the quality of life in the Binghampton community. Founded in 2003, the BDC
supports the revitalization of this historic neighborhood through housing and economic development and
empowerment programs for those plagued by issues of systemic poverty.

Kaleidoscope Kitchen is a program of the BDC that prepares minority entrepreneurs to establish successful food businesses. The program seeks a dynamic, detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to aid and accelerate core programming including: affordable kitchen rental, food entrepreneur training, coordination of sales opportunities, and small business counseling.

Key Responsibilities
● Support general office duties and look for ways to make internal operations more efficient
● Anticipate and overcome problems to reduce impact on operation
● Monitor kitchen facilities in accordance with operating procedures
● Assist with writing and editing policy and procedures documents
● Help coordinate communications to various stakeholders on several platforms
● Support data collection, analysis, management, and reporting
● Play a supportive role in the coordination and expansion of catering and other food sales
● Assist in the planning and execution of special events, primarily Kaleidoscope Food Festival
● Project management for special projects as assigned

Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree
● Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel)
● Bilingual or multilingual a plus
