Girl Scouts Heart of the South is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, self-starter to help spread the great news about Girl Scouts! Our environment is friendly yet fast-paced as we strive to keep up with the speed of today’s girls!
The Graphic Designer and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for working closely with the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer and other key team members to create and coordinate both digital and print marketing assets including programs and event-related marketing, fund development and product program-related marketing, recruitment-related marketing, general advertising, video marketing, online and email marketing and more. The Graphic Designer and Marketing Coordinator will have creative responsibility for Girl Scouts Heart of the South’s social media outreach with a concentration on audience development and engagement.
The ideal candidate for this exciting job has existing educational background in marketing, excellent graphic design skills and 2-3 years of marketing and communications experience. Knowledge of or experience in the Girl Scout Movement is a plus!
Candidate must have excellent graphics skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere. Candidate will also be detail- oriented, a self- starter, social media savvy, a creative thinker, a team player, and a strong communicator. Exceptional writing and communications skills and successful experience with email marketing campaigns is required.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and 2-3 years related post-graduate experience and/or training. Proven experience and expertise in graphic design, social media, email and online marketing. Collaborative personality who is a team player. Innovative and creative thinker to generate maximum exposure for Girl Scouts beyond traditional means. Candidate must have graphic design skills utilizing Adobe Creative Suite.
