The Marketing and Events Manager plans and implements events and manages projects designed to advance Concord Academy’s mission, broaden its capacity, and promote community awareness of the school. The ideal candidate is a fundraising/marketing professional with event planning and sales experience who fully supports Concord Academy’s mission to educate students with learning differences. The individual must promote the school’s culture of respecting neurodiversity, promoting equity and inclusion, and empowering students to succeed. This full-time, exempt, year-round position reports directly to the Executive Director.


Lead the planning and implementation of major fundraising events (golf tournament, 5K/fun run, and auction/gala).
Assist in the planning and implementation of school events such as Concord Community Day, school fairs, and informational sessions for prospective families
Assist in the planning and implementation of internal events such as graduation, talent show, mock interviews, awards ceremony, and field day.
Create and design compelling and engaging content for email newsletters, social media, donor communications, video, blog posts, and other communication channels
Solicit sponsorships and donations for fundraising events
Work closely with Administrative Assistant on fundraising events
Recruit and manage event volunteers
Maintain productive relationships with vendors
Cultivate and maintain mutually beneficial community partnerships
Assist the Executive Director in donor cultivation and stewardship efforts

Develop and implement a successful marketing strategy with Executive Director and Board Marketing Committee
Collect and analyze data and metrics related to marketing efficacy and audience engagement
Act as the primary steward of Concord’s brand, including messaging, visual style, and voice
Create and design compelling and engaging promotional content that follows brand-specific imaging and messaging
Recruit brand ambassadors from staff, families, board, and community partners
Facilitate student/family recruiting and retention through marketing efforts

Assist in the development of a communications strategy for internal and external audiences
Create and design compelling and engaging content for email newsletters, social media, donor communications, video, blog posts, and other communication channels
Archive materials important to the school’s history

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. Five or more years of professional work experience in marketing, communications, nonprofit fundraising, or related field. Must have experience developing and implementing marketing and branding strategies, managing websites and social media accounts, developing, organizing, and coordinating special events, designing written and oral communications, and managing volunteers. Must be able to work independently with a high degree of initiative while achieving high impact results, be able to work effectively as part of a team, and organizational skills.

Must be proficient in the following programs/software:

Office 365 Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Teams
Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro)
WordPress and DiviBuilder
Social media scheduling software such as HootSuite, Loomly, Later, etc.
Email marketing software such as Constant Contact, MailChimp, Emma, etc.
Donor management software, such as Bloomerang, Raiser’s Edge, Network for Good, GiveSmart, etc.
