American Financial, an affiliate of American Car Center, is seeking an Investigator for our corporate location. Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure submitted contracts and loan packages are complete, accurate and reflect proper approval authorities relative to the underlying credit decision.
Ensure accuracy of contracts by completing a quality checklist for each contract.
Communicate with Sales Managers and Management regarding the status of the loan applications being worked.
Accurately complete employment, residence or landlord, an income verification on transactions submitted for funding and point out any variances to the original decision.
Closely inspect loan package documentation for suspicious or fraudulent documentation.
Build strong working relationships with the Sales Managers and Credit Department.
Perform other related duties as required or as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1-2 years of administrative experience within the auto or consumer finance industries preferred.
Ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
Must be computer savvy with the ability to operate at a fast pace and have a sense of urgency.
Ability to self-start and work independently with minimal supervision to achieve departmental goals.
Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented and highly productive manner.
Strong verbal/written communication skills and organizational skills.
Ability to go above and beyond to deliver quality work.
Available to work weekends when deemed necessary due to business needs.
