By now you’ve heard all about our world-famous BBQ. But there’s so much more to Memphis’ food scene. Here’s some recent foodie news:

Deep South Magazine recognized ACRE, The Elegant Farmer, and Revival Food Truck on its 2012 list of 50 Places to Eat in the South.

Chefs Andy Ticer and Michael Hudman of Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen are semi-finalists for the “Best Chefs in the Southeast” James Beard Foundation award. (Restaurant Iris’ Kelly English was up for the same honor in 2010.)

A Toronto writer recently visited six local restaurants — with nary a rib in sight — and called Memphis a “fine place to visit and to dine in.”
