In addition to offering family friendly entertainment, Golf & Games will include a new food truck park with outdoor tables, restrooms, wifi, vendor space and yard games. Each food truck will be able to hook up via electricity so no noise or gas fumes will be a distraction. Local artists and vendors are invited to show and sell their products, and musicians are invited to perform outdoor concerts. Movie nights are also in the works for future events. Golf and Games is pet-friendly so bring your furry friends (on leashes) and enjoy water and shade on site. The park is an alcohol free venue.

The Memphis Garden Gala, presented by Orion Federal Credit Union, will let the good times roll on March 4th at the FedEx Event Center at Shelby Farms Park. All proceeds from this inaugural event will benefit The Kitchen Community and their mission of real food for everyone. Prepare to come in your Mardi Gras best as this year’s theme is: Mardi Garden Masquerade. Cocktails begin at 5 o’clock with music by The Mighty Souls Brass Band, followed by a family-style New Orleans dinner by amazing local chefs. The Memphis Garden Gala will include emcee Kontji Anthony and an exciting live auction by Auctiontainer Letitia Frye.

Soul Brunch at Caritas

For just $12 you can enjoy biscuits, gravy, bacon, fried chicken, a waffle bar, and more. Brunch will be served buffet style and you’ll be serenaded by the sweet sounds of soul music by Justin Merrick and friends while you dig into your breakfast favorites. Caritas is about to undergo some major renovations and Super Soul Brunch is a way to throw a big “before” party with the neighborhood.

Wiseacre’s Azazel Belgian Golden Strong was made with limes this year, and they are celebrating with a taco bar and a Pancho’s cheese fountain (what!). You can tour the brewery, discuss the history and development of the style, drink Azazel and pair it with tacos. Tickets are $20 and include the tour, beers and tacos.

Enjoy two-course lunches at various eateries for $15.00 and three-course dinners for $25.00. Memphis Black Restaurant Week (MBRW) will feature new restaurants accompanied by live music during dining experiences as well as MBRW Swag Bags filled with merch, and a food truck day.

Cookie on Tap Invitation 2017

Combine your love for cookies with your love for beer and enjoy a palate pleasing experience at the 3rd Annual Cookies on Tap benefitting Girl Scouts Heart of the South. Enjoy a flight of four High Cotton Brewing Co. beers that have been perfectly paired by High Cotton’s brewmasters to brings out the flavor profile, and taste of the cookie and beer duo. Special to the night is a cookie & growler combo for $20. Bring home a growler of your favorite High Cotton Brewery beer and a box of Girl Scout Cookies to enjoy the pairing over the weekend. The tasting will be go-at-your-own-pace, so if you can’t make it until after 5 p.m., it’s no problem. Guests must be 21 years and older to enjoy the pairings. All ticket sales are final.
