Official Tagline:

October, 1936: sanity and reality itself are tested during the filmed interrogation of a kidnapper and murderer with ties to an ancient cult.

Written by director Jim Weter, Dreams of a Dead God is an original story, taking place in the world of H. P. Lovecraft and following the events of the novella, The Call of Cthulhu. Tracking a kidnapper and murderer from France to Louisiana, a young woman and her adopted brother team up with local police and set out into the swamps north of New Orleans. Here the group uncovers much more than they expected and barely succeed in capturing the fugitive before being forced to flee. Dreams of a Dead God is the recovered film recording of the rushed interrogation that occurred shortly afterwards and the only surviving record of the event.

“Inspired by the authors appearing in Weird Tales magazine such as Lovecraft, Clark Ashton Smith, and Robert Bloch,” said director Jim Weter. “Dreams of a Dead God represents my own humble contribution to the cosmic horror mythos".

In honor of winning the award, a special encore screening of Dreams of a Dead God will be held on Monday, April 20th at the Malco Studio at Greensborough Village Theater in Jonesboro, Arkansas at 6:00 PM during the Porchlight Film Festival’s “Best of the Fest” presentation.
