The Memphis Farmers Market has announced their second market, MFM2, will be taking place at Court Square every Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm starting June 28th and running through September 27th.
Residents can expect the same market vendors along with some new ones offering fresh fruits and vegetables, handmade pottery, floral arrangements, meat products, baked goods, soaps, and more. Food trucks with live music will also be on site.
We welcome MFM2 to the neighborhood. This is a great opportunity for our Downtown workforce, residents and visitors to experience fresh food shopping just steps from their offices, homes and hotels. With the Court Square location, we hope this market becomes a regular Wednesday stop for Downtowners and Uptowners.” – Terence Patterson, president and CEO of Downtown Memphis Commission
Both Memphis Farmers Market and Downtown Memphis Commission hope the new location will allow residents and visitors to conveniently experience fresh foods. Allison Cook, the executive director for Memphis Farmers Market, believes that the new location will benefit both vendors and shoppers. Both Memphis Farmers Markets accept SNAP benefits and are Pick Tennessee Markets, which are supported by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture.
