The 2024 Paris Olympics are just around the corner, and guess what? Memphis is gonna be REPPED by some incredible athletes! We’re talkin’ world-class competitors ready to bring home the gold (or maybe even a sparkly silver or a shiny bronze!).
But first, a quick heads-up: The Paris Olympics kick off on July 26th and run for two whole weeks. It’s gonna be a global party of amazing athletic feats, from track and field to gymnastics to swimming – basically, anything awesome you can imagine people doing with their bodies at peak performance.

Harrison Williams - Decathlon 🇺🇸 USA
Harrison Williams, a 2014 graduate of Memphis University School (MUS), who has qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in the decathlon. Despite facing injuries and setbacks, including missing the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Williams persevered and earned a spot on the U.S. Olympic team.
Santi Aldama - Basketball 🇪🇸 Spain
Memphis Grizzlies forward Santi Aldama won’t be suiting up for Memphis this summer – he’ll be representing Spain in the Paris Olympics! Following a stellar performance in the qualifiers, Santi is primed to make a big impact on the international stage.
Seth RIDER - Triathlon 🇺🇸 USA
Memphis’s own Germantown native is set to shine on the world stage! At just 14, he made waves by qualifying for the Junior Olympics, and now he’s gearing up to make his debut at the Olympics.
The Road to Paris
Getting to the Olympics ain’t easy. These athletes have been qualifying for months, competing in trials and pushing themselves to the absolute limit.
Their training routines are INSANE, with hours spent perfecting their skills and building their strength. But they don’t do it alone!
Memphis has a ton of local support from coaches, trainers, and of course, all of US cheering them on!
