Celebrate Mardi Gras, Memphis style, with these events and specials:

Beale Street’s Mardi Gras Parade starts at 4th and Beale. Merchants and Friends will be parading from 4th to 2nd  with carriages, horses, walking groups, musicians, grocery cart “floats”…one never knows who or what will show up! Update: This event has been cancelled.

The Mighty Souls Brass Band will play live music while customers can down $3 pints, $10 buckets, and $4 shooters all night and chow on plenty of boiled crawfish while they last.

Celebrate with live music by the Bluff City Backsliders, drink specials, free beads, king cake, and more.

Owen Brennan’s will have live music, bead tosses from the balcony and drink and appetizer specials.

Local will be having crawfish, red beans and rice, gumbo, and abita beer specials at both stores. DJ Taz will be at Local On the Square.

This event will be benefiting Mid-South Food Bank, and includes food stations, raffling, Cajun food, drinks, and live music. There will be a minimum donation of $15.

Celebrate Mardi Gras with Breakaway’s inaugural Fat Tuesday Pub Crawl Run! The fun starts at 6PM from the Breakaway Running midtown store in Overton Square. The first 100 people get limited edition Fat Tuesday t-shirts. Make sure you bring cash and your ID. You must sign a waiver to participate. This event is free and open to all. The Pub/Crawl/Run stops are: #1 Memphis Made Brewing Company, #2 The Slider Inn, #3 Zebra Lounge Memphis, #4 Bayou Bar and Grill. Update: This event is postponed due to hazardous sidewalks, we will share the reschedule date as soon as we can.
