You’re hip, you’re in the know, you were probably there.
But in case you were on the road traveling to a family gathering or had to get up early the next day to get the turkey roasting for Thanksgiving dinner, here’s what you missed…
Lord T & Eloise played to a packed house of excited fans last Wednesday night at The Hi-Tone. It’s a show that has become a Thanksgiving tradition for the 5-piece purveyors of Aristocrunk. A “crunksgiving” of sorts, if you will. For those that have never experienced a show from the hip hop dandies, it is filled with a plethora of crunk jams and unforgettable hooks about being the wealthiest men in the universe.
While this may seem like it’s all tongue-in-cheek to the novice listener, it’s the way these guys can massage a beat that gets them accolades from major players like 8-Ball, Ala Kapone and Skinny Pimp.
There are plenty of novelty acts that have barely cranked out an EP before their audience tires of the joke, but these guys are currently working on their fourth album, a mixtape entitle Blackout Crunk, and have become more popular than ever. Seth Green liked them so much, he asked them to play his wedding.
Keep your eyes and ears open for more news about the band’s future. We’ve heard there are going to be some major announcements from these guys coming next year. Afterall, 2013 is the year of the Rapacolyopse.
