EPIcenter’s entrepreneurship program, Logistics Innovation Accelerator, is now accepting applications to the program aimed to jump-start new logistical technologies.
Sponsored by FedEx, the program specifically focuses on advanced products that boost logistical capabilities.
Richard W. Smith, VP Global Trade Services at FedEx Express, said:
“FedEx was itself an innovation, and our entrepreneurial roots still permeate our culture today. We are proud to support a business accelerator that will give promising new logistics technology companies the resources they need to grow.”
This 90 day program is designed to help you improve your business by showing ways to connect with your clients’ needs. With classes, interactive activities, and sessions with advisors, you can invest time to build up your company. Each participating company will receive $25,000 for product development, and will build a starting business model. After, the program ends, each business will present to investors.
President of EPIcenter Leslie Lynn Smith said:
“With a competitive advantage in supply chain integration, unparalleled business-to-business capabilities, four modes of transportation readily available to connect local companies to a global marketplace and a workforce that has expertise in logistics technology, Memphis can provide the ideal ecosystem and mentorship for this new business accelerator.”
Deadline for applications is April 10th. Finalists will be announced on April 18th, and the program begins on May 18th. The demo day where businesses get to present to investors will be on August 13th.
Each company that applies must be based in Memphis during the program, but international companies can participate.
