On October 18, Baron Von Opperbean (BVO) on Mud Island will light up with music, art, food and Memphis soul. But this isn’t just another night out, it’s Memphis Legends, a one-of-a-kind fundraiser where every bite, sip, song and artwork helps build a tiny home for a Memphian.
This isn’t just about celebrating the icons who shaped our city. It’s about making new legends together in 901.
WHY “MEMPHIS LEGENDS”?

The Memphis Legends fundraiser is about honoring that heritage while investing in the future.
100% of proceeds go directly to Homes for Hearts, a nonprofit building tiny homes for Memphians experiencing homelessness.

Live music & Memphis classics spun by DJ Bizzle Bluebland (WYXR 91.7 FM program manager by day, DJ by night, his name a tribute to Memphis Legend, Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland).
Birdcap painting live on site, with his “Memphis Legends” artwork up for auction plus an additional 1-of-1 Birdcap piece (“Ice Melter”) artwork up for auction.
Additional auctions featuring art, memorabilia, & merchandise from Sun Studio, Neil’s Music Room, Hi-Tone and Acme Salvage.
