Leader of Alex’s Lemonade Stand (And Alex’s Mom) Is Coming to Memphis!

4-year-old Alex Scott organized her first lemonade stand in her front yard while battling neuroblastoma.

A child sits behind a homemade lemonade stand with colorful signs, raising funds for pediatric cancer research through Alex's Lemonade Stand. Cups, lemons, and a pitcher are displayed on the table in Memphis.

Her simple yet profound mission – to help doctors find cures for all children with cancer by funding research – has transformed into a national movement that raised $1 million by the time she passed away when she was age eight.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation has since raised nearly $350 million!

This total includes $9.9 million to St. Jude for research.

A family stands in front of their Memphis home, hosting an Alex's Lemonade Stand fundraiser for childhood cancer. Signs read "Alex's Lemonade Stand" and "Kade Beats Cancer.

Liz Scott, Alex’s mom and the leader of the nonprofit, is coming to Memphis on July 30th and I would love to invite you to meet her!

Our movement & podcast An Army of Normal Folks and Firebirds Wood Fired Grill Collierville (one of their national partners) are hosting a lemonade stand benefiting the charity, “The Most Epic Lemonade Stand in Memphis History”, from 10:45am-2pm.

Liz will be at the stand from 10:45-11:45am and thanking attendees for their support.

A woman smiles outdoors in Memphis, holding a framed photo of a child in one hand and a bright lemon—symbolic of Alex's Lemonade Stand—in the other. The lemon is in color; the rest of the image is black and white.

Before this, our host Coach Bill Courtney (subject of Oscar-winning film Undefeated) will conduct a live podcast interview with Liz at Firebirds from 9:15-10:45 am.

This family-friendly event offers a perfect opportunity for kids to learn about philanthropy and the power of dreaming big.

While RSVPing for the lemonade stand isn’t required, we recommend doing so at LizScott.Eventbrite.com to ensure that we have a cup saved you. Lemonade is $3 per glass. Seating for the podcast interview is limited to 40 people, so advance registration is essential to secure your spot.

We think it’s pretty cool that Liz is coming to Memphis and hope you do too!
