KaBOOM! is a nationwide nonprofit that aims to ensure that all kids get a childhood filled with balanced and active play they need to thrive. In 2013, they built a playground at Hanley Elementary here in Memphis.

Many of the kids at Boys & Girls Club of Greater Memphis do not have a safe and accessible place to play. This new playground will bring Memphis one step closer to becoming a more playable city.

The CarMax Foundation and KaBOOM! have partnered to build 33 playgrounds across the United States by the end of 2018.
