Marketing and Development Coordinator Job Opening
Summary of Position
The Su Casa Marketing and Development Coordinator (MDC) helps promote the mission of Su Casa by creating a safe space for our Latinx immigrant neighbors and the broader Memphis community to connect and learn together in God’s grace. The MDC is responsible for using marketing strategies to coordinate donor management and cultivating relationships to improve fundraising efforts. The MDC does this by curating our online presence to reflect the mission of Su Casa, keeping donors connected with the heart of the work, sharing the needs of Su Casa at events, project managing our events, and raising support through our fundraising efforts. The MDC helps create a warm and welcoming voice for Su Casa externally and maintains communication and messaging for staff internally. The MDC works alongside the Executive Director to weave the story of Su Casa into everything we do, providing a cohesive narrative and brand for all of Su Casa’s programming. The MDC reports to the Executive Director as a part of the Operations team.

Schedule
Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Monday – Friday, 9am – 5 pm
Staff meetings are on Tuesdays, 11:30am-1:00pm.
Meetings with donors, partners, and sponsors as scheduled with the Executive Director
Su Casa Family events outside of the normal schedule are required to attend, as noted on the calendar.
Pay starts at $35,000

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in marketing, communications, or a related field.
In lieu of a degree, relevant experience in nonprofit marketing, social media management, and fundraising may be considered.

Preferred Skills and/or Attributes
Exceptional writing and communication skills; able to listen to ideas and translate them into written, communicable form.
Effective writing in both Spanish and English.
Strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
Creativity in designing fundraising strategies and donor outreach messaging.
Able to self-direct and work proactively to prioritize event management and fundraising efforts.
Detail-oriented and organized to structure tasks lists and lead a project from start to finish.
Comfortable working in a multilingual, Christian environment.
Data analysis abilities to track marketing progress, donor engagement, trends and to make projections for future giving.
Proficiency in computer and design skills (Adobe Suite, Canva, social media platforms, website management).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing
Develop strategies to ensure cohesive language across multiple media—social media, email, website, donor communication, print materials.
Oversee the website and social media posts; ensuring regular messaging is sent out.
Create a yearly content calendar which includes social media postings, monthly donor email newsletters, and special events communication.
Monitor SEO and analyze marketing data to track performance, increase recognition and drive audience growth.
Oversee compilation of yearly data into annual Impact Report.
Provide support for departmental content creation as needed.

Development
Support the Executive Director in developing fundraising strategies and campaigns.
Track donations and giving trends using our CRM (Network for Good).
Plan and project manage fundraising events, including marketing, ticketing, sponsor coordination, and event volunteer management.
Identify potential donors and build relationships with them alongside the Executive Director.
Create reporting and donor appreciation efforts for all fundraising efforts.
Maintain donor communication to provide updates on giving impact and to  encourage future giving.
Community Engagement
Represent Su Casa at community and church events to promote awareness.
Maintain a branded presence at tabling events.
Oversee design, creation, distribution and inventory of promotional materials such as brochures, stickers, and other giveaways.
