Manager A – Community Engagement

Position Summary
Works under the general direction of the administrator of the Crime Victims & Rape Crisis Center (CVRCC) and manages the agency’s community engagement and collaboration efforts. Responsible for supervision of program staff, program development and service delivery, program data analysis and evaluation, and compliance with grant and county regulations and state and Federal laws that govern programs within the CVRCC. Targets underserved populations, including youth and young adults, those who identify as LGBT, and those that are immigrants/refugees.

Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education

Minimum Qualifications
1. Five (5) years’ experience in a managerial capacity; AND

2. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, social work, management, or related social science field; OR

3. An equivalent combination of related education, training, and/or experience.

4. Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, social work, management, or related social science field preferred.

5. PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Complies with agency mission in ensuring that victims and survivors of crime are provided with holistic advocacy, support, and forensic services.

2. Serves on the Crime Victims & Rape Crisis Center’s (CVRCC’s) Senior Leadership Team.

3. Acts, along with the Program Manager and Operations Manager, on behalf of the Administrator in his/her absence.

4. Oversees the agency’s violence prevention and community response efforts.

5. Collaborates with community partners and county staff to raise awareness of the impact of violence and trauma and the resources are available to victims in our community.

6. Provides administrative, policy and operational oversight to staff and contractors.

7. Assists in the development and design of measurable program goals and objectives based on program data (i.e. trends in data, community needs assessment).

8. Oversees program monitoring to assure the agency is in compliance with all grant and county regulations.

9. Serves as a community leader in the victim services field, collaborating with other providers and providing training and technical assistance to CVRCC partners and allies, including developing and monitoring process improvement measures for the purpose of ensuring high quality education, services, and programming are provided to clients, agency partners, and county residents.

10. Makes recommendations on personnel actions such as hiring, terminations, discipline, evaluations, and promotions and ensures new employee orientation and training is provided to all new staff.

11. Ensures program policies and procedures are updated and implemented in accordance with county and grant regulations.

12. Conducts training sessions for staff to update them on best practices and program regulations and provides routine technical assistance.

13. Maintains accurate files and documentation to support program activities and completes and submits necessary reporting information to all grantors, as required.

14. Compiles and analyzes monthly data reports and program outcomes and works to make any necessary updates or improvements to programs and services based on evaluation results.

15. Delegates authority to subordinate supervisors and holds them accountable for the performance of their teams.

16. Performs other related duties as required or directed.

KSA’s
1. Knowledge of, and significant experience in community engagement work, including collaboration efforts, education, and primary violence prevention programming.

2. Knowledge of, and experience in providing, trauma-informed victim services.

3. Ability to work effectively with co-workers and staff as well as leaders from other agencies.

4. Ability to effectively supervise all agency staff (direct services and leadership) and lead by example.

5. Ability to accurately and appropriately represent the agency and its programs via public meetings and presentations.

6. Ability to demonstrate good judgment and make responsible decisions.

7. Knowledge of data collection and analysis and program evaluation techniques.

8. Ability to incorporate program evaluation results into the development or improvement of programs and services.

9. Ability to develop and adhere to timetables and projects.

10. Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.

11. Ability to increase program awareness throughout the county.
