Communications Fellow

Working with a diverse group of coalition partners and stakeholders, the Communications Fellow will assist with POA’s strategic objectives to build water advocates and strengthen local water management. This position is part-time, remote, and paid a monthly stipend between $750-1,200 per month depending on education and experience.


●  Work with social media team on content creation, including Water Wednesday videos
●  Share breaking news and Aquifer developments across communication platforms
●  Represent POA at community tabling events
●  Work with Science Fellow in development of fact sheets on key Aquifer issues
●  Build and maintain contact lists for neighborhood associations and stakeholder groups
●  Engage in coalition meetings and respond to action items
●  Other duties as assigned

●  Interest and commitment to learning about the Memphis Sand Aquifer.
●  Strong writing skills for marketing, media
●  Open to all majors and disciplines but preference for journalism, marketing, communications,

earth science, or engineering majors.
●  Open to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
●  Ability to work remotely with one day in-person weekly.
