Medical Equipment Delivery Technician

Job Summary:

The Medical Equipment Delivery Technician will move durable medical equipment (DME), parts, goods, and other merchandise from one location to another.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Receive and stock warehouse inventory and complete inventory counts.
• Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.
• Completes emergency service calls as needed.
• Loads delivery vehicle with equipment scheduled for delivery.
• Delivers equipment to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
• Set up of equipment as directed; following manufacturer instructions.
• Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.
• All deliveries and pick-ups of medical equipment or supplies will be done in a timely and professional manner.
• Comply with appropriate dress code.
• Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to drive safely.
• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps and plan delivery routes.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Ability to write, speak, and understand the English language, with legible handwriting.
• Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
• Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
• Able to always remain professional and courteous.
• Good personal hygiene and appearance.

Education and Experience:

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
