Part-Time Assistant Coordinator (Middle School Program)

Job Summary:

The NOW Program Assistant Coordinator is responsible for overseeing N.O.W. programming and interns during the 3:00 to 6:00 programming time. The NOW Program Assistant Coordinator will assist the NOW Program Coordinator in developing programming and recording and tracking data during non-programming hours.

Duties and Responsibilities:

●      Oversight and execution of N.O.W. programming from 3:00 – 5:30

●      Responsible for managing and supporting interns during programming hours

●      Supports and executes programming related to t-shirt creation and selling as well as helps orchestrate partnerships and customers

●      Responsible for program set up and ensuring spaces are clean

●      Assist in collecting and inputting program related data

●      Occasionally will be asked to go and get supplies for programming

●      Collaborate with NOW Program Coordinator on program planning

●      Build and maintain relationships with youth participants and parents

●      Responsible for inviting, incentivizing, and retaining participants in the NOW Program

●      Works alongside rest of staff to promote, organize, and execute organization wide events

●      Participates in regular staff meetings and trainings (as directed)

●      Works alongside volunteers

●      Reports to NOW Program Coordinator

 

Physical Requirements

●      Must be able to participate in activities with participants

●      Must be able to help in cleaning/maintaining facilities

 

Other Requirements

●      Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to multitask

●      Must be willing to work evenings

●      Must be comfortable interacting with people from a variety of backgrounds in a respectful and engaging way

●      Must be able to work well with a variety of age groups

●      Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

●      Must have reliable transportation to and from work

●      2+ years of experience working with children/youth preferred

 

Job Details

●      Part Time, Hourly

●      Pay: $16/hr at 21 hours a week

●      Must be on site at community center
