Memphis Recovery Centers is currently hiring a full-time Cook to prepare meals in our residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility. The successful candidate will be organized and have the ability to multitask.

Shift: Monday thru Friday

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED (REQUIRED)
• Previous experience in institutional cooking
• Valid driver’s license (REQUIRED)

Responsibilities:

• Familiarity with proper food storage, the ability to understand the needs of patients with food allergies, and to implement methods of food cross-contamination avoidance.
• Ability to follow nutritious menus and prepare a sufficient quantity of food for the facility population.
• Take inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Ensure kitchens are cared for and inspected according to Department of Health standards.
• Work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance and customer service.
