The therapist reports directly to the Child and Family Services Director and is responsible for providing direct clinical services for child victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse, child witnesses of crime, and their non-offending caregivers. The therapist provides clinical services using a variety of CAC approved, trauma-focused and evidence-based modalities, while maintaining confidentiality. The therapist is responsible for an assigned caseload of clients, case management and for maintaining accurate and timely records for required documentation and reporting.

Requirements include a master’s degree in social work or counseling from an accredited program with 3 to 5 years of social work or counseling experience that includes therapy with children. Highest level of state licensure preferred. Fluency in Spanish and English preferred (but not required). TF-CBT and EDMR training and experience preferred. Working knowledge of child physical and sexual abuse and its impact on children and families; ability to communicate with a wide range of children and families from different cultural backgrounds.
