Facilities Technician

This is an exciting time to join the staff of the Memphis Brooks Museum!

We are looking for someone to fill the position of Facilities Technician.

The Facility Technician is responsible for all maintenance and repair of the Museum property, including buildings, all related equipment and grounds, for the safety of its visitors and employees.  The Facility Technician is also responsible for assisting other departments with all facility requests including assisting with deliveries and pickups and set-ups for museum functions.

The Facilities Technician will execute general repairs inside and outside of the facility including minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.  The Facilities Technician will assist in the maintenance of the museum grounds and assist with janitorial services and floor care.  The Facilities Technician will communicate with and oversee outside maintenance contractors.

This is a full-time position with a starting pay of $16 an hour.  The regular schedule for this position is Wednesday – Sunday.
