Job Title: Community Engagement Manager
Reports to: Director of Development
Hours: M-F 9:00 AM-4:00 PM (35 hrs a week/full-time)
Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility:
Oversees the Hope House volunteer process, assists with fundraising efforts, event management and communications.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required. Experience with volunteers, fundraising or communications preferred. Must have good interpersonal skills and can effectively communicate, verbally and in writing. Applicant must be able to work with minimum supervision and manage multiple tasks at once. Must have basic computer skills in word and excel and strong organizational skills.
Licensure & Certification: Tennessee driver’s license required.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Manages volunteer program including recruitment, orientation, execution of activities and stewardship.
- Assists Director of Development with fundraising events including securing all in-kind donations, marketing, volunteer recruitment and placement and other logistics.
- Plans and executes all internal events with staff and families (ex. Trunk or Treat, Preschool Graduation, monthly book and food club for families, etc)
- Works with families at Hope House by identifying needs and local and internal resources to meet those needs.
- Executes all internal and external development communications (ex. Family monthly newsletter, quarterly community Hope House emails).
- Manages donor database with Director of Development.
- Inputs all donations in the bank and send thank you letters to donors.
- Manages all social media at Hope House which includes creating a monthly plan and posting on all social media sites throughout the week.
- Works with the Director of Social Services to manage food and supplies for Hope House clients to ensure their needs are being met.
- Works with staff to identify volunteer opportunities and execute internal events.
- Fulfills all other responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer or Development Director for the operation of Hope House.
- Requires some nights and weekend work.
