Trust Operations Associate

Job Description:

The Trust Operations Associate position is responsible for assisting the Trust Operations Officer perform those administrative and operational assignments delegated to it by the management officers of the Trust Department. The incumbent will develop an understanding of Trust Department policies and procedures. The incumbent will develop a knowledge and understanding of the trust accounting software system utilized by the Department and will be expected to correctly utilize the system to meet the Department’s accounting, reconciling, balancing, and reporting to its customers. Incumbent may periodically have customer contact for addressing questions or trouble-shooting problems. Incumbent will develop an understanding of the Bank’s deposit and liability operations system, wire transfer and ACH systems.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

Process daily customer account transactions in SunGard and Sparak systems that includes client distributions and transfers.
Print and mail trust account statements to clients.
Attend and participate in additional job related training courses/seminars.
Assist, develop, and reconcile ad-hoc reports and correspondence.
Input wire transactions into the SunGard and Sparak systems for Integrated Financial Settlement international clients.
Verify SunGard and Sparak system distributions and transfers are accurate, complete, and balanced.
Execute daily cash receipts and distributions through the Sparak system.
Input and approve wire transfer transactions via EB&T online banking system.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree Required, Marketing, Banking, Economics, Finance or Business Administration Course Concentration preferred.
Two years’ experience preferred, but not required.
