SUMMARY:

The Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS) Customer Portal Coordinator
is responsible for providing training of the HMIS Customer Portal database, technical assistance,
analytical support, and ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to HUD and CoC regulations
for all HMIS related responsibilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with system build-outs, in partnership with others, including, but not limited to the HMIS
    Lead Agency, the HMIS software company, and any contractors.
  • Provide assistance to the HMIS Vice President of Information Management with data
    analysis and reporting for CoC, including but not limited to agency, project, and group
    level.
  • Assist with merging data from HMIS Customer Portal and other databases for analysis and
    monitoring.
  • Assist HMIS Vice President of Information Management with the process to use and present
    data to advance the goals of CAFTH and the CoC.
  • Monitor HMIS Customer Portal use to ensure full participation by, and compliance of,
    agencies authorized to use HMIS
  • Monitor agency adherence to CoC and HMIS Customer Portal operating policies and
    procedures. tools used by Partner Agencies
  • Provides training, materials, and technical support to Partner Agencies and End Users to
    ensure proper use of HMIS Customer Portal.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred
    in the field of Information Systems, or six months to one-year related experience and/or
    training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer skills required: Proficient in Microsoft Office and Additional Software, as needed.
  • Other skills required:
    – Strong knowledge and experience in the use of computer-based systems and data
    analysis.
    – Grant administration experience including familiarity with reading and interpreting
    Federal regulations and guidelines.
    – Requires a valid driver’s license with own personal transportation.
    – Passion for combating homelessness, domestic violence, substance abuse, and
    mental illness
