AMRO Music is seeking a Retail Piano Sales Representative to join one of the best teams in music products retail. The right candidate will quickly develop relationships with established and new customers, generating sales from strategic interactions with key influencers. A strong preference is placed on piano experience and the ability to convey an understanding of musical and tonal qualities verbally. Luxury or high-end sales experience is also a strong advantage.
Main Responsibilities:
- Achieve personal sales goals and support the store in achieving goals
- Develop sales strategy and forecasts for customer/client base
- Develop and cultivate customer leads and relationships, and use the CRM system to manage and follow up with leads
- Implement a sales referral outreach program for key influencers (i.e. piano technicians, real estate agents, designers, piano teachers, etc.)
- Communicate about piano technical needs after the sale follow-up (tuning, etc.) and in-store as needed to ensure satisfaction upon delivery
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge of acoustic and digital pianos through provided training opportunities
- Support all in-store and regional promotional events (generating and cultivating sales)
- Schedule is 5 days per week (four weekdays from 9am-6pm plus Saturday from 9am-4pm)
Generous benefits to joining our team include excellent training opportunities, health insurance, dental, vision, 401k matching, paid time off, etc. Pay is hourly plus commission, effectively $16-19 per hour for the first year. Highly motivated individuals could earn in excess of $1,100 per week.

Requirements
The successful candidate will embody the following traits:
- Product Expertise: Training through Amro and brand-specific opportunities aimed at developing a comprehensive understanding of piano brands, including their history, craftsmanship, materials, and technical specifications. Proficiency in conveying the unique attributes and value propositions of different pianos to diverse clientele.
- Sales Acumen: Proven track record of success in luxury sales, with the ability to exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth is a plus. Aptitude for identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities while maintaining a consultative approach.
- Art of Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to eloquently present and explain complex concepts to clients. Active listening skills to discern and understand clients’ preferences and needs.
- Professionalism: Mastery of social etiquette and personal presentation, exuding sophistication, elegance, and professionalism.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and inquiries simultaneously, ensuring each customer receives the utmost attention and care.
- Networking Skills: Proactive participation in relevant luxury events, gatherings, and industry functions to expand the network and cultivate new business opportunities.
- Resilience and Tenacity: A positive and resilient mindset, maintaining motivation and determination even in the face of challenges or objections. Willingness to go the extra mile to meet and exceed client expectations.
