Summary/Objectives
This position is to provide exceptional customer service while performing duties associated with the post-closing functions related to the servicing of loans, including data entry, imaging, and on-boarding. The position will manage multiple projects while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Role and Responsibilities
Manage the closed file retention process according to current Habitat and legal guidelines and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Track and receive closed mortgage packages from closing attorney and immediately review all documents, ensuring that they are properly executed.
Works with closing attorney’s staff to resolve exceptions.
Manage in-office document storage process for all post-closing activities.
Image documents received into electronic file(s) and update exceptions for missing/trailing documents.
Complete Habitat for Humanity International Qualified Loan Officer training within the first month of hire.
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Education/Experience
Minimum 3 years of recent experience in mortgage origination, servicing, or underwriting.
Bi-lingual highly preferred (Spanish and/or French)
HUD housing counselor designation preferred.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax machines, and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, drive, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday based on the needs of the business. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Able to meet employment verification requirements, pass pre-employment background, drug and sex offender registry checks.
