JEM’s New Cocktail Menu Mixes Creativity, Community, and a Whole Lot of Memphis Flavor

If you haven’t made your way to JEM yet, consider this your official sign to grab a seat at the bar. Downtown Memphis’ approachable fine dining spot just dropped its new seasonal cocktail menu, and it’s full of reasons to raise a glass (or two).

Think colorful, creative, and a little bit unexpected: just like Memphis.

The Menu That Mixes It Up

You won’t find cookie-cutter cocktails here. The new lineup at JEM is built around fresh ingredients, house-made infusions, and that extra layer of craft that makes you go wait, what’s in this?

Here’s a taste of what’s waiting for you:

🍸 Mendel 75:

A floral spin on a French 75 with pea blossom–infused gin, hibiscus root liqueur, and sparkling wine. It’s basically springtime in a glass, even in October.

🥃 Venetian Boulevardier:

A rich, Italian-inspired riff on the Old Fashioned that’s perfect for slow sipping. Bitter, bold, and balanced—like a Memphis musician who’s seen it all.

🌹 Lady in Red:

Smoky Vida Puebla Mezcal meets Lillet Rouge and a kick of Ancho Reyes Verde. Complex, sultry, and definitely main character energy.

🫒 Dirty JEM Martini:

Fords Gin, house olive brine, and a whisper of citrus peel. It’s classy, salty, and a little mischievous: just how we like it.

JEM Espresso Martini:

House-favorite alert. Cold brew, cacao nibs, and orange zest make this one a classy pick-me-up that doubles as dessert.

And for those skipping the booze, JEM’s got you covered with mocktails that are just as creative, like the No-Groni and the JEM N/A Paloma with sparkling grapefruit and agave.

Cocktails That Do Good

Here’s where it gets even better: every season, JEM chooses one cocktail to give back to a local cause.

This round, it’s the “Hey Jealousy”, a floral gin cocktail that’s not just delicious—it’s making a difference. Profits from each one sold go to the DeNeuville Learning Center for Women (DLC Memphis), a nonprofit helping women in Memphis gain education, career skills, and confidence to build better futures.

“Memphis has always been about taking care of one another,” says Josh Mutchnick, Executive Chef and Co-Owner of JEM. “We wanted our cocktail program to reflect that. Every season, we’ll feature a drink that gives back. When we raise a glass here, we want it to lift others, too.”

And honestly, we’ll cheers to that.

Lori Jones, Executive Director of DLC Memphis, says the partnership couldn’t have come at a better time. “We’re so grateful to see local restaurants like JEM investing in women in our community,” she says. “Every cocktail sold helps provide classes, mentorship, and opportunities that change lives.”

Why JEM Keeps Memphis Interesting

JEM isn’t your typical downtown restaurant. It’s a spot where elegance meets ease. You can come here for a full dinner, a nightcap, or a casual hang at the bar and feel like you’re part of the story.

The menu changes with the seasons, but the vibe stays the same: welcoming, creative, and rooted in Memphis flavor.

So whether you’re in the mood for something bubbly, boozy, or beautifully balanced, stop by and see what’s new behind the bar. You’ll sip something you’ve never tried before and help support women across the city while you’re at it.
