Insomnia Cookies is now open at 545 South Highland Street, between Newby’s and the upcoming Petra Cafe.

Insomnia Cookies is a bakery founded in a college dorm in 2003 at the University of Pennsylvania by Seth Berkowitz. The bakery specializes in delivering warm cookies and ice cream from until 3am every day of the week. You can also stop by their bakery and purchase cookies with some ice cold milk.

Since I live just outside the delivery area, we picked up some cookies fresh out of the oven and they were STILL WARM after a 10-15 drive to the house.

Also coming to the Highland Strip is Burgerim, an Israeli-based fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in mini-burgers. The restaurant will open at 569 South Highland. Other recent openings on Highland include Char, The Casual Pint, and The Bluff with Newk’s opening on January 23rd. Cook Out has also recently opened in the University area.
