Indie Memphis Presents Bad Movies

The Room

The Room

Get ready for a double dose of terrible films with Indie Memphis‘ Bad Movie Night, Wednesday, June 25.

Indie Memphis teams up with Black Lodge Video and Mark Jones to bring a double feature of stinky films to Malco  Theatres’ Studio on the Square. The bad movie duo includes The Room, which Entertainment Weekly calls the “Citizen Kane of bad movies,” and Miami Connection, a movie one film critic describes as the weirdest film he’s ever seen.

Now a midnight cult classic, The Room will be shown at 7 p.m. on a 35mm film. This movie centers around passion, love, and betrayal all wrapped up in the life of a successful banker and his future wife. Major points of the movie deal with drugs, breast cancer, and underwear theft. This movie is known as the most terrible film that everyone wants to see!

Miami Connection will be shown  at 9 p.m. on DCP and is about a martial arts band on a mission to stop vicious motorcycle ninjas involved in a big narcotics trade in Florida! Film Critic Matt singer, of Screenrush magazine, wrote, “Hilarious, yet oddly touching, goofy, yet totally sincere…”

You do not want to miss the chance to see just how bad these films get.

Tickets are now on sale for The Room and Miami Connection.
