How to Trolley Night

Trolley Night in downtown Memphis is the place to be on the last Friday of every month. Starting at 6pm, this lively event showcases the best of what the city has to offer, from unique shops and delicious food to live music and refreshing drinks. Here’s your guide to making the most out of Trolley Night!

1. Ride the Trolley

Kick off your night with a ride on the iconic Memphis trolley. It’s a fun and scenic way to travel through downtown. Hop on the trolley for only $1 per ride!

2. Shop Local

Many local shops stay open late for Trolley Night. Check out Stock and Belle for chic apparel and home goods or Feelin’ Memphis for cool Memphis-themed gifts. Supporting local businesses is a great way to connect with the community.

BONUS: Choose901 pop-up shop will be at Slider Inn during June’s Trolley Night! Rep the 901 with some trendy merch.

3. Jam to Live Music

A person with long blonde hair sits on a stool playing a guitar on a small stage, bathed in the glow of string lights. Posters of past Trolley Night events add charm to the room, while another guitar rests against the wall in the background. The scene feels like something out of Memphis good news.

Enjoy Memphis’ bumpin’ music scene at venues like Longshot, South Main Sounds, and Slider Inn. Enjoy everything from live bands to DJ sets, adding a dynamic soundtrack to your evening.

4. Sip on Cocktails

Stop by The Green Beetle, Ibis, or Fat Tuesday for some amazing cocktail specials. Whether you’re into classic cocktails or something a bit more adventurous, these spots have you covered. The Bushwacker, a creamy frozen alcoholic bevvy, from the Green Beetle is perfect for those hot summer nights!

5. Feast on a Soul Burger

Earnestine & Hazel’s is a must-visit for their legendary Soul Burger. This iconic spot offers a no-frills, delicious burger that’s perfect for fueling up during your Trolley Night escapades.

6. Treat Yourself

Cool down with some delicious gelato at Zio Matto, perfect for those hot Memphis nights. If you’re craving something sweet but different, head to Crave for their scrumdiddlyumptious cheesecake.

7. Enjoy a Cold Beer

Max’s Sports Bar is the go-to place for a refreshing beer. They feature a strong lineup of regional beers on tap and $3.50 PBR pints!

8. Connect with the Community

Consider joining the South Main Association. They have a members-only area during Trolley Night, providing a great opportunity to meet new people and learn more about what makes the South Main Arts District special.

9. Tee Off at Birdies

End your night with a round of virtual golf at Birdies. Book a golf bay and enjoy some friendly competition.
