You may have heard that the City of Memphis has thrown its hat into the ring to bring the second headquarters of Amazon to Memphis. While they’re completing the proposal process, checking the boxes, crossing the t’s, dotting the i’s, citizens who want to get involved have an important role to play.
Some of the best things about our city can’t be adequately expressed in a formal proposal. So, several local organizations including Doug Carpenter & Associates, Choose901, I Love Memphis Blog/MCVB, Downtown Memphis Commission, Memphis Medical District Collaborative, Memphis Grizzlies, New Memphis, Crosstown Concourse, and more have joined forces to demonstrate the unique and attractive qualities of our city. The community campaign revolves around the slogan: “We can’t be put in a box. But Memphis Delivers.”
In the days leading up to the October 19th proposal deadline, keep an eye out for social posts and public demonstrations to help amplify those messages so that Amazon takes notice.
