Good News! South Point Grocery Is Now Open in Silo Square

Southaven Just Got Its New Neighborhood Grocery Store

If you’ve ever wanted a grocery store that feels connected to the community around it, one that carries everything you need at competitive prices while still championing local makers, farmers, and flavor, Southaven has officially gotten its wish.

South Point Grocery, known for its warm, community centered vibe in Downtown Memphis, has opened a brand-new location in Silo Square. And the response so far has been nothing short of electric.

Inside the doors, shoppers will find fresh produce, a full deli, a pizza oven making fresh slices and pies around the clock, everyday staples priced competitively with major grocery chains, and aisles filled with both familiar favorites and locally loved finds. South Point Grocery is not trying to be a specialty boutique. It is trying to be something better. It is trying to be your neighborhood grocery store.

And honestly, that is what makes this opening feel so exciting for the Mid South.

Created for the People Who Make Southaven What It Is

This new South Point Grocery was built around the way real people in the area live, shop, cook, and eat. Silo Square sits within a growing part of Southaven surrounded by families, young couples, single professionals, retirees, and everyone in between. On opening day, the crowd reflected exactly that mix.

Whether you are picking up a quick lunch, filling your pantry, grabbing produce for the week, or just curious about the latest local products, SPG aims to be the kind of place where you feel seen, valued, and part of something local.

Local Decision Making Matters Here

During the ribbon cutting, owner Rick James shared something that struck a chord with the crowd. Every decision about this store is being made here in the Mid South, by people who actually live in this region and understand how the community shops.

They are not taking orders from executives in Bentonville, Cincinnati, or Germany.

South Point Grocery operates differently. The team lives in the area. They shop in the same store. They talk to the same neighbors. And they pay attention to what people want.

Rick emphasized that if Southaven shoppers request a product, whether it is a specific bread, a favorite snack, or a Mississippi made essential, the team will work to bring it in.

Real people who live here are choosing what goes on the shelves. That is rare. And it is refreshing.

South Point Grocery is a grocery store that listens.

A Celebration of Local Flavor

The new Silo Square store highlights an impressive list of regional partners and small makers. Southaven shoppers can expect:

  • A full coffee shop operated by Cxffeeblack
  • Fields For Ellie fresh floral bouquets from Senatobia
  • Chicken Town Egg Farm eggs from Paragould, Arkansas
  • Cases of fresh meat selections from Adobe Ranch in Olive Branch
  • Seasonings from Huey’s, Delta Legends in Olive Branch, and Keith’s Farm in Eads
  • Local honey from farms across Collierville and North Mississippi
  • Mississippi White BBQ Sauce
  • Ready made casseroles from Lucchesi’s and Oh Grate!
  • Dips and sauces from Las Delicias, Arbo’s, Oh Grate!, and more
  • Beer from a wide range of local breweries
  • And plenty more regional favorites filling the shelves

Grocery shopping here feels like a tour of the Mid South food scene. Whether you want to support local artisans or discover something new, you can find it in these aisles.

Rooted in the Community

Before the first shoppers ever walked through the doors, South Point Grocery made a quiet five thousand dollar donation to Heartland Hands Food Pantry, the largest food pantry in North Mississippi. It was a clear sign that they were stepping into Southaven with intention and investing in the community from day one.

The generosity continues. Each week until Christmas, shoppers can enter to win one of two one hundred dollar gift cards, with sign ups available at checkout. It is a simple way to bring extra cheer to the season and thank the people supporting their new store.

South Point Grocery is also inviting customers to help choose future donations through a chip voting program. When shoppers spend a certain amount, they receive a chip to vote for one of several North Mississippi nonprofits displayed at the front of the store. When the jars fill up, South Point Grocery will turn those votes into real dollars, rotating nonprofits regularly so the impact reaches as many local organizations as possible.

It is all part of the same mission. South Point Grocery wants to be a true neighborhood store, where supporting local happens on the shelves and throughout the community.

Southaven Has a New Gathering Place

The doors are officially open at South Point Grocery in Silo Square, and the vibe is already undeniable. People are showing up. People are talking about it. People are excited to have a store that blends convenience with care and local heart with everyday affordability.

For Southaven residents, this is more than just another place to shop. It is a neighborhood anchor. A spot to discover local makers. A store where the team knows the community because they live in it too.

Welcome to your new grocery store, Southaven.
