Wiseacre Brewery's patio on Broad Avenue turns into a stage every September, and Gonerfest is the reason 🎸 Goner Records built this into Memphis's own answer to a proper punk festival, and the twenty third edition runs Thursday, September 24 through Sunday, September 27, with thirty five bands spread across four nights and two stages.
Death headlines Saturday, Horsegirl opens the whole thing Thursday night, and Toody Cole brings her band through a set of Dead Moon songs and new material on Friday. Henry Rollins takes the DJ booth Saturday evening, and Man or Astro-man? closes out Sunday's free finale at Overton Park Shell 🤘

Sunday's grand finale runs free at Overton Park Shell, part of the Orion Financial Free Concert Series 🌳 Gwenifer Raymond opens at 5:30 PM, Jack Oblivian and Cloudland Canyon with Kid Millions fill the middle of the evening, and Man or Astro-man? sends everybody home. Food trucks set up on the lawn, Smoke & Toast, BBQX, Hot & Heavy Dogs, and Mempops among them, and leashed dogs are welcome in the designated area.
Sunday keeps going after the Shell clears out. Bar DKDC throws the official Gonerfest comedown starting at 9 PM, the same DJ lineup fest regulars look forward to all year, spinning rare 45s until the room empties.
Getting In
- Golden Passes cover all four nights and go through Goner Records directly, single night tickets open closer to the fest 🎟️
- Every ticket is digital, and a technology fee gets added at checkout for the ticketing app
- Wiseacre Brewery sits in the Broad Avenue Arts District, an easy stroll from the rest of the strip once a set wraps up
- Sunday's finale at Overton Park Shell is free and open to everybody, picnic blankets, coolers, and lawn chairs are all welcome on the grass 🧺
