Since we, as Memphians, have to take full advantage of the rare spring days we  have been getting, why not take a hike? With our longer days, this is an even better idea.

On March 22nd, Tennessee State Park Rangers have decided to welcome spring with open arms. They will be hosting a state-wide series of guided hikes across Tennessee. These hikes are fun for people of all ages and all abilities. Here are 2 hikes that will be in the Bluff City:

Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park
8:00 am at Shelter 2

5 Easy Miles
This is a paved bicycle trail, so stroller and dogs (on leashes) are welcome

T.O. Fuller State Park
9:30 am at Discovery Trail
2 Moderate Miles
Observe nature and wildlife while discussing Thomas O. Fuller’s life and his impact on the education and care of African Americans.

Don’t Forget:

  • Bring Water
  • Wear Hiking Shoes
  • No Registration
  • Take Pictures! (Tag #Choose901!)
