Farever App: Empowering Memphians to Lift Each Other Up

Making a Real Difference in Memphis, One Connection at a Time

Homelessness is a growing crisis in Memphis and in cities across America. Every day, more  people face housing instability, and local leaders, clergy, and service organizations are stretched  thin. This challenge affects not only individuals who have been homeless long-term but also  those newly on the streets or teetering on the edge. And it’s not only men—women and children  are increasingly affected.

But what if we could intervene earlier? What if we could help people before they fall too far?  What if we could make it easier for Memphians to help each other?

Introducing the Farever App

Currently in beta testing in Memphis (TN), Columbus (OH), and soon Minneapolis (MN), the Farever App is a mobile platform designed to simplify and supercharge how people give and receive help. Available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, the app empowers everyday users to:

  • Access 53 different types of essential resources from diapers and clothing to shelter and food
  • Discover local volunteer opportunities
  • Donate to causes they care about
  • Enable nonprofit organizations to collaborate in real time

Share perishable goods with nearby organizations that can use them immediately

Farever app interface for Memphis offers care, support, volunteering, donations, services, and emergency assistance options. Adult Recovery Center info is displayed at the bottom.

How It Works

Farever is geo-based, helping users find the closest resources, cutting down on wasted time and  long trips across town. Its built-in voice feature makes it easy for users to search for services  hands-free. Resources are categorized for ease of use, covering everything from:

  • Emergency shelter and food (both hot meals and groceries)
  • Clothing
  • Medical and mental health assistance
  • Hygiene facilities (like showers)
  • Job training
  • Document recovery
  • Enrollment in SNAP benefits

The app already lists 55 nonprofit organizations and is growing fast.

More Than Just an App—A Lifeline

The need is visible and pressing. What was once shocking has  become a part of daily life, and that’s something we can’t afford to ignore. The Farever App offers a practical, immediate way to connect those who need help with those who want to give it.

This tool could transform our community.
