On February 27th, Faith Evans Ruch will release her new music video for “Rock Me Slow” exclusively for Memphians at Signal Flow (map here). Doors will open at 6 pm, and the show begins at 7 pm. Just $5 gets you in with beer.
Faith Evans will play two acoustic sets along with the screening of the music video. The music video was directed by Edward Valibus and is the second video he directed for Ruch (“PBR Song” being the first). Director of Photography Ryan Earl Parker, gaffer Patrick Durkin, Production Assistant Ben Siler, and hair and make-up artist Faizah Husniyah collaborated with Valibus on the music video. The video will officially be released online on March 4th.
Valibus said of the “Rock Me Slow” music video
“’Rock Me Slow’ is an emotional song to experience. In Faith’s previous music video ‘PBR Song,’ the video concept and song told of determination and courage to face the end of a romantic relationship. The inspiration for the video concept in ‘Rock Me Slow’ is to be a sequel. She’s now in solitude, reflecting on the past, and feeling the pain of heartbreak. We find her in a secluded environment to work out her feelings.”
