Tchaikovsky’s “Romeo and Juliet” is a well-known orchestral work that captures the tragic and romantic essence of Shakespeare’s play. Bernstein’s “Symphonic Dances from West Side Story” is a symphonic suite derived from his iconic musical theater work.
