Top Dog Memphis
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (February 14, 2024) — Kiwanis Club of Memphis (“Kiwanis”) today announced the launch of the first ever Top Dog Memphis Photo Contest. The contest invites participants to post a picture of their dog with a brief description. The winning dog will be named on March 23, National Puppy Day, and be featured on a can of beer produced by Grind City Brewing. Other prizes include a custom pet portrait by local artist Melanie Anderson and gift certificates to local pet stores.
The cost to participate is $10 and includes 10 votes. Please visit: topdogmemphis.com to enter your dog and vote for your favorites. Thank you to sponsors Kiwanis Club, Grind City Brewing Co., Orion Federal Credit Union, and the Memphis Flyer.
“All of the donations to vote go to Kiwanis Charities and all money stays in Memphis to help support our efforts to help children of the Mid-South. Some of our projects include sending inner city youth to summer camp, building accessibility ramps for children with special needs, our adopt-a-school programs and funding and scholarships for local Key Clubs. Key Clubs are affiliate Kiwanis clubs for local high school students. Plus, this is a great way to make your dog famous and maybe get their image on a local Grind City beer label,” stated Joey Hagan, Kiwanis member and dog lover.
“We value community—our neighborhood community and our club community. It’s rewarding to be involved in something bigger than ourselves and be passionate about it,” commented Skeet Haag, Kiwanis member.
