Tony Thomas Three is Memphis soul-jazz reimagined — a gritty, groove-heavy supergroup led by legendary organist Tony Thomas (U2, Joe Walsh) with guitarist Charlton Johnson (Count Basie Orchestra), drummer Ken Coomer (Wilco, Uncle Tupelo), and special guest Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Kirk Whalum (Whitney Houston). Recorded live to analog tape at Southern Grooves Studio by Grammy Award-winning Producer Matt Ross-Spang, their debut album “Get With This!” blends jazz, soul, and the Memphis groove into a raw, richly textured sound. With deep ties to the city’s musical legacy — from Count Basie to Beale Street — this all-star ensemble reimagines classics and original compositions with unmatched depth and soul.
