Event poster reads: "Then & Now: Public Spaces. Thursday, September 18, 5–6 PM. The Pink Palace Deep-End Theater, 3050 Central Ave." Torn paper design with black-and-white images highlights how public spaces have changed then and now.

Then and Now: Public Spaces

Join us for a powerful discussion with Memphis Mayor Paul Young & Bloomberg Public Innovation Fellow Carol Coletta surrounding the repercussions of the Jim Crow Era on our community today. “Then & Now” is inspired by the traveling exhibit from the Jim Crow Museum, Overcoming Hateful Things, now on view at the Pink Palace.

Your panel ticket includes admission to the Pink Palace Museum & Mansion. All are encouraged to visit the Overcoming Hateful Things exhibit at 4 pm before the panel begins at 5pm in the Deep-End Theater. Admission is free for MoSH members.
