The State of Memphis Housing Summit 2022

Join us on November 2nd, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for our 4th annual State of Memphis Housing Summit: Looking Forward to New Housing Realities. This conference is designed to provide a platform for the Memphis community and beyond to discuss housing and neighborhood issues with local and national thought leaders.
This year, we are hosting a roundtable discussion featuring housing and community development directors including our Director Ashley Cash, and her counterparts Director Dr. Meghan V. Thomas of Birmingham, Alabama, and Helen McIlvaine, JD, of Alexandria, Virginia. This panel discussion is designed to foster an open dialogue addressing key housing challenges faced by these cities.
Our closing keynotes, Ralph Perrey, Executive Director of the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA), and Lisa Rice, President, and CEO of the National Fair Housing Alliance will discuss fair housing strategies to promote and ensure housing equity. Throughout the day, various experts will address key topics regarding renters’ rights, affordable housing development, state pre-emptions, the Memphis housing policy plan, and unconventional barriers to housing.

The event is finished.
