The 28th Annual STEP UP for Down Syndrome Awareness Walk

The 28th Annual STEP UP for Down Syndrome Awareness Walk will be held Sunday, October 26th, 2025, from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Bert Ferguson Park in Cordova. Sponsored by the Down Syndrome Association of Memphis and the Mid-South, this one mile fun walk is held each year in October to celebrate National Down Syndrome Awareness month and is designed to promote awareness of the inherent worth and abilities of people with Down syndrome.

Whether you have Down syndrome, know someone who does, want to volunteer at the event, or just want to show your support, come and join the STEP UP for Down Syndrome Walk. Individuals and teams can register for the event online by visiting https://charity.pledgeit.org/stepupmemphis. As always, there is no charge for the individual with Down syndrome.  Admission includes a t-shirt, lunch, entertainment. In addition, there will be shopping available from vendors, information from resource booths, games, petting zoo and more for children.
