Two young girls sit at a table with red tablecloths, drawing on white paper with pencils. A black marker is also on the table as they explore Pointilism techniques inspired by Pissaro during Super Saturday art activities.

Super Saturday – Pointilism and Pissaro

Discover the magic of tiny dots that make a big impact! Inspired by Camille Pissarro’s Springtime in Éragny, this Super Saturday invites you to experiment with pointillism — a technique where small dots of color come together to form a complete image. Using Q-tips and chopsticks, you’ll create your own vibrant painting. Afterwards, explore the galleries to spot real-life examples of this colorful style. Free every Saturday from 10 AM to 12 PM — art-making fun for all ages!

Super Saturday takes place every week during the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art free hours from 10a-12p. Guests can enjoy drop in art making and curated gallery guides to give them a closer look at the art on view. All ages are welcome! Please register in advance.

The museum and all its programs are made possible by the generous support of museum members. Members enjoy free daily admission to Memphis Brooks Museum of Art and receive discounts of up to 50% on ticketed events. Join today at thebrooks.org/join
