Super Saturday – Hispanic Heritage Month: Hojalata

Join us for a special Super Saturday in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month! Learn about hojalata, a traditional Mexican folk art that transforms tin into beautiful embossed designs. Using safe tools and vibrant motifs, you’ll create a piece that’s uniquely yours. Super Saturday is free and open to all ages from 10 AM to 12 PM — a creative way to honor rich cultural traditions.

Super Saturday takes place every week during the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art free hours from 10a-12p. Guests can enjoy drop in art making and curated gallery guides to give them a closer look at the art on view. All ages are welcome! Please register in advance.

The museum and all its programs are made possible by the generous support of museum members. Members enjoy free daily admission to Memphis Brooks Museum of Art and receive discounts of up to 50% on ticketed events. Join today at thebrooks.org/join
