Summer Acoustic Series at Caption with Oakwalker!

Join us in the courtyard for another summer evening of our acoustic series!

Oakwalker is a multi-genre duo with hints of twang, rock influence, and pop melodies. Victoria Dowdy sings and plays guitar, while Ethan Baker plays violin. Victoria and Ethan are both influenced by a wide array of artists and styles including Folk, Country, Pop, Rock, and Electronic. Victoria and Ethan met in Memphis, TN through mutual friends, unaware that the other was a musician as well. Victoria first saw Ethan play violin for a band called Raytracer. A few years later, she decided to start a project writing and recording her own music. She immediately thought of Ethan, contacted him, and the pair hit off musically and have been working together since. Overtime, Ethan and Victoria have both started writing songs for Oakwalker, showcasing the talent of both members. The easy going dynamic the pair has makes for a free flow of ideas and an organically developed sound. Oakwalker formed only a few months before the Covid-19 pandemic. Although the duo has had several in person concerts and shows, most of the band’s presence has been online to date.
