Spirit of Memphis 2024!
The Spirit of Memphis Relay is back! Welcome to Memphis is proud to support our local hospitality and tourism industry with training, recognition and job placement, and the Spirit of Memphis Relay is a chance for your business to get involved. Whether you participated last year or will be a first timer, we can’t wait to partner with you for this event!

In partnership with Old Dominick Distillery, Welcome to Memphis is hosting its second annual city-wide social media campaign. The Spirit of Memphis Relay kicks off September 1, 2024 and asks your employees to go all out in creating a signature cocktail using Old Dominick spirits. This year, we’re also hosting a non-alcoholic category!
The beverage will be unique to your place of business and should capture the spirit of Memphis in a fun and exciting way. Customers and employees alike are encouraged to post pictures of anyone enjoying the Spirit of Memphis cocktail created and featured at your business. Social media posts should:
- Tag both Welcome to Memphis (@welcometo901) and Old Dominick Distillery (@olddominick)
- Use the hashtag #SpiritOfMemphis
- Follow both Welcome to Memphis and Old Dominick
- Highlight the Jobs Board when possible: https://www.welcometomemphis.org/jobs
Assets available to you for the relay include:
- Digital graphic
- 25 Table tents
- 25 Check Inserts
- 2 Posters
- QR code for guests to nominate their server/bartender for a Pick Award!
We hope that you will join Welcome to Memphis and OId Dominick to celebrate our city and create your own Spirit of Memphis cocktail or beverage. At the end of the relay, one signature drink will be selected and featured at the Pick Awards party on October 21, 2024.
